Trash collection will resume as normal on Thursday (1/23) and Friday (1/24). Saturday (1/25) will serve as a recovery day for the addresses missed on Wednesday. A recovery truck will be sent if your normal service day is Thursday and pick-up was missed. Please contact Active at 704-626-7400 for recovery pick up.
Due to the impending winter storm, Active Waste will pick up garbage from all those residents with Friday collection EARLY tomorrow morning. To ensure service, PLEASE PUT YOUR BINS AT THE CURB TONIGHT, THURSDAY, JANUARY 9th.
The disposal site will be closing early tomorrow, requiring the trucks to collect and dump earlier than usual.
Christmas tree pickup scheduled with Active Waste for Saturday, January 11th will be postponed until Saturday January 18th.
As soon as January 2025, New Town Road will be closed between Will Plyler Road and Waxhaw Indian Trail Road for an NCDOT bridge replacement project. Traffic will be detoured onto Will Plyler Road around the closed section of New Town Road. A temporary traffic signal will be installed at the intersection of Will Plyler Road and Waxhaw Indian Trail Road during the closure to accommodate turning traffic at the intersection.
