Union County has opened a three-week public comment period on alternate designs for six critical intersections throughout the County. The intersections were identified in 2019 as part of a Critical Intersection Analysis. Design alternatives and cost estimates are being considered for the six intersections. In Weddington, one intersection was identified: Forest Lawn Drive at Potter Road. The Town asks that residents review the alternate designs and provide feedback online. This open comment period will run through March 27, 2020. The Board of Commissioners and governing bodies in affected municipalities will be asked to endorse a design for each intersection between May and June of 2020.
