CRTPO Public Comment Period
The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) is in the process of developing future transportation projects for Iredell, Mecklenburg and Union counties, and is requesting resident input on potential transportation priorities. CRTPO works closely with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to develop the 2023-2032 Transportation Improvement Program in a process known as Prioritization 6.0. A public comment period will be held from September 19, 2019 until October 19, 2019 on the projects of all transportation modes that were proposed for submission for NCDOT Prioritization 6.0.
The proposed highway, bicycle and pedestrian, transit, rail, and aviation projects and maps are posted on the CRTPO website, www.crtpo.org, under the Transportation Improvement Program tab. This public comment period will close on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Comments should be directed to Judy Dellert-O’Keef using the following methods:

Residents can also comment on the proposed project lists in person during the CRTPO Board meetings on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 and Wednesday, November 20, 2019. The meeting will be held in Room 267 of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center beginning at 6 p.m. Those who wish to speak must sign up at least five minutes prior to the start of the meeting. The CRTPO Board will approve the submission of projects for all modes to NCDOT for scoring in Prioritization 6.0 during the Wednesday, November 20, 2019 meeting.
