Gov. Roy Cooper issued a stay at home order to go into effect Monday 3/30/2020 at 5 p.m. The order calls for all North Carolinians to reduce travel as much as possible and stay home. Essential businesses will still be in operation and it is not illegal for people to be outside getting fresh air. Violating the stay at home order is a Class 2 misdemeanor. As of March 23, North Carolina is currently among the bottom ten states in the nation for U.S. Census responses. Use this time of isolating at home to complete the Census online at my2020census.gov and follow the easy steps. Results will be used to direct federal funds to local communities for schools, roads, and other public services and determine political representation at all levels of government. It's quick and easy and required by law!

Public access to Town Hall will be limited for the foreseeable future. Our residents may conduct any business via phone, email , fax, or other virtual means. The town employees will work remotely and do their best to respond. When calling Town Hall, please leave a voicemail and your call will be returned as soon as possible. Tax payments and other documents requiring delivery to town staff can be placed in the drop box located to the side of town hall. Our website and social media will be updated as often as possible.
