The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) opened a 30-day public comment period, beginning Monday, June 3, 2024, for the update to its 2055 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). The CRTPO is the federally designated metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the Charlotte urban area, which includes Iredell, Mecklenburg, and the urban portion of Union County.
