The Cabarrus Stanly Union Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan aims to assess, reduce, and prepare for the impact of natural and man-made hazards in the region. The current 2020 Plan is set to expire in June 2025. North Carolina Emergency Management is facilitating the update process. The 2024 Plan Update involves the identification of vulnerabilities and prioritization of mitigation strategies to better prepare for, respond to, and recover from a hazardous event.
