The Western Union Municipal Alliance (WUMA) is an interlocal agreement among the towns of Weddington, Mineral Springs, and Stallings, and the villages of Wesley Chapel and Marvin to discuss regional planning, transportation, and other issues that are common to all the jurisdictions. They are collaborating to create and advocate for beneficial solutions for all. The first meeting will be held on Thursday 20 August at Weddington Town Hall at 3:30 p.m. The meeting will be open to the public.

Open Burning is allowed in the Town of Weddington. Since the Town does not provide yard waste removal services, it cannot prohibit burning yard waste. Due to the current states of emergency related to COVID-19 and to ensure the safety of town residents, staff, and Town Council, the August Regular Meeting will be conducted virtually and live-streamed on the Town of Weddington Facebook page. Public comments may be emailed to kdewey@townofweddington.com by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2020.
