The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization approved the 2018-2027 Trasnportation Improvement Program.  Included in the program is the NC 16 widening from Rea Road Ext. to Waxhaw Parkway.  Right-of-way acquisition is scheduled to begin in FY 2021 and construction is scheduled for FY 2023.
